We are currently seeking Event Security Officers nationwide, with opportunities across London and throughout the UK, to join our team for ad-hoc deployments across a wide range of venues and event environments. Our operations span major stadium and arena events, more than 50 festivals annually, and tailored security provision for universities, corporate venues and public events across multiple regions.

Job Description
Your role In your role as a security team members you will be expected to do the following roles and responsibilities. These will change from site to site and any specific requirements are always communicated during inductions;
Operational Duties

Equipment Management: Ensure the proper upkeep and functionality of on-site equipment such as radios, body cameras, and pagers. Conduct regular checks to ensure readiness and compliance with Alliance protocols.

Site Vigilance: Maintain high levels of situational awareness throughout the shift, discreetly monitoring the premises for any unusual activity or safety concerns.

Patrolling and Surveillance: Perform routine patrols and monitor CCTV systems to safeguard customers, staff, and assets. Report any irregularities promptly.

Access Control: Prevent unauthorised entry into restricted areas, including back-of-house, VIP zones, and backstage, in line with Alliance’s security protocols.

Incident Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to security or medical emergencies, following Alliance’s emergency response procedures. Provide necessary first aid support if required.

Conflict Management: Assist in the de-escalation of confrontational situations and ensure safe, lawful handling of disruptive individuals in accordance with Alliance’s guidelines.
Customer Service and Communication

Customer Engagement: Deliver friendly and professional assistance to customers and visitors, enhancing their experience while promoting a safe and welcoming environment.

Information Sharing: Provide clear and accurate communication to team members, supervisors, and management. Liaise with event control and on-site supervisors for updates and incident reporting.

Policy Enforcement: Ensure all stakeholders adhere to venue policies, health and safety guidelines, and Alliance’s operational standards.
Reporting and Documentation

Incident Reporting: Maintain detailed records of incidents, including written and verbal reports, to support accurate documentation and accountability.

Observations to Management: Share observations and recommendations with site management to continuously improve safety and security measures.
Event-Specific Duties
-
Pre-Event Preparation: Conduct pre-event briefings, site checks, and crowd assessments. Familiarize yourself with the site layout, emergency exits, and first aid facilities.

Ingress/Egress Management: Support safe and efficient entry and exit procedures, including queue management and ticket/pass checks.

Crowd Monitoring: Monitor spectators for signs of overcrowding, distress, or inappropriate behavior and take appropriate action.

Emergency Support: Assist with evacuation or invacuation during emergencies, ensuring compliance with Alliance’s emergency response plans.
Health, Safety, and Legal Compliance

Regulatory Adherence: Follow Alliance’s policies & procedures, ensuring all work practices comply with current legislation.

Safety Audits: Regularly check fire exits, evacuation routes, and other critical areas to ensure they remain clear and operational.

Licensable Activities: Execute duties in compliance with licensable activity requirements and venue license terms.

In addition, you must:

Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
-
Have demonstrable experience in security operations, including protecting customers, assets and venues.

Be a confident communicator with strong customer service skills, able to remain calm, measured and authoritative when required.

Display initiative, vigilance and proactive thinking, identifying risks before they escalate.

Remain professional, alert and composed throughout your shift, including during high-pressure or dynamic situations.

Be capable of working long shifts when required, maintaining high standards of conduct and presentation.

Successfully complete and pass our internal screening and vetting procedures, in line with industry and compliance requirements.
