Founded in 2017, Alliance Events was established to raise standards within the UK events and security sector through a professional, welfare-led approach. We are an integrated provider of security, stewarding and crowd management services, delivering safe, well-managed environments across festivals, sporting events, cultural celebrations, public realm activations and educational institutions.
 

With our Head Office in Loughborough, Leicestershire, and our operational base in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, we deploy teams nationwide to support high-profile and large-scale events, as well as universities, local authorities and corporate clients. 2026 Hourly Rate:

  • 18-20: £10.85

  • 21+: £12.71

Location: Nationwide

Contract: Casual Contract (Ad Hoc based on the demand across the company)

Job Description

n your role as an Event Safety Steward, you will be expected to,
 

  • Provide and promote the highest level of customer care and service.

  • Ensure all customers are safe and that management are contacted if made if an issue is identified.

  • Familiarise yourself with the layout of a site/venue and the available facilities including first aid, welfare facilities in order to deliver and assist the public with relevant information.

  • Understand their role and duties including Health and Safety responsibilities in particular to those with special needs and children

  • Attend pre-event briefings to ascertain the event details

  • Carry out pre-event checks

  • Monitor for signs of overcrowding

  • Report any disturbances or incidents

  • Report any medical incident by raising the alarm and providing the necessary and appropriate help as required

  • Collaborative Working – You communicate clearly, support your team and work closely with supervisors, clients and emergency services to deliver safe and successful events.
     

In addition, you will:
 

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even in busy or challenging environments.

  • Be customer-focused, recognising that your body language, communication and presentation shape the event experience.

  • Be fluent in written and spoken English, ensuring clear and confident communication.

  • Show initiative and sound judgement, remaining calm and composed under pressure.

  • Be willing to work long shifts when required (including up to 12-hour days), while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

  • Staff welfare is important to us, and appropriate breaks and support will always be provided.

  • Be consistently polite, approachable and helpful, creating a safe, welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.

Step 1

Application

To join our team, you must first complete our application form which you can begin below. Be sure to complete the form as in depth as possible.

Step 2

Compliance

If your application has been accepted, you will be asked to complete a number of employment forms that include references, right to work checks and other common employment checks.

Step 3

Training

Once these checks have been approved by our team, you will be asked to complete our internal online training modules to ensure you understand events, your role and our expectations.

Step 4

Bookings

Whilst you complete your training, you will be give the oppertunity to apply for events that you would like to work at in the 2024 festival season. For more information on these events please follow the link below.
