Rally Festival

Alliance were once again proud to support Method Events in delivering the Rally Festival Weekend at Southwark Park, London — a diverse and dynamic multi-day celebration featuring Piano People, Rally, Body Movements, and Bermondsey Carnival.

Each event carried its own unique character and audience profile, with attendance ranging from 5,000 at the community-focused Carnival and Piano People events to 9,000 for the larger festival shows Rally and Body Movements. Over the weekend, the park became a vibrant space for music, culture, and connection, and Alliance played a key role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

Working in partnership with Method Events, Southwark Council, the Metropolitan Police, and Pinnacle Protection, Alliance deployed around 50 experienced security and crowd safety personnel per day. The focus was on ensuring smooth event operations, effective crowd management, and positive engagement with both attendees and the local community.

Our Responsibilities:

• Patrol teams and crowd monitoring across the event footprint

• Egress management to ensure safe and efficient dispersal after each event

• Safeguarding and welfare support, including collaboration with onsite welfare and wellbeing response teams

• Coordination with medical teams to assist with welfare or first-aid interventions

• Incident reporting and communication through event control and radio networks

• Joint operations and cooperation with Pinnacle Protection at key perimeter and exit points

  
  

While another provider managed the search and entry gates, Alliance’s remit focused on maintaining crowd safety, welfare, and movement control throughout the event space. This clear division of responsibilities allowed our teams to concentrate fully on public safety, responding quickly to emerging issues and supporting partner agencies in real time.

A particular highlight was the Body Movements event, which required a heightened focus on welfare, inclusivity, and safeguarding. Alliance’s supervisors and patrol officers worked closely with welfare leads and medical staff to ensure all attendees felt supported and protected throughout the day and night.

Thanks to clear communication, structured briefing, and strong cooperation between security providers, the weekend saw smooth and well-managed egress each evening, with minimal disruption to the surrounding community.

The Rally Festival Weekend once again demonstrated Alliance’s ability to deliver professional, adaptable, and people-centred safety operations across a range of event formats. It remains one of the most rewarding weekends on our calendar — a testament to the value of partnership working, shared trust, and consistent delivery across London’s event landscape.
