Case Study: Team England Immersion Camp

During the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Alliance was chosen as the primary security contractor to ensure the safety of athletes, support staff & assets of

Team England at their hotel at Loughborough University, where the athletes were based at throughout the training and competing of the games.

Services Provided

  • 24/7 Access Control

  • Asset Protection

  • COVID Compliance Testing

  • Accreditation and visitor pass allocation

Our trained, competent and professional teams ensured the access control of all guests, ensuring that accurate sign in and out forms were completed, that all fire exits were clear and that other safety checks were completed daily to ensure the readiness and security of the building and its people. Our shift supervisors managed a team of 10 security around the clock throughout the mobilisation and ensured that processes were followed with regular check-ins with Team England Head of Security where KPIs were reviewed daily to ensure high standards were met and retained. Our team members ensured all visitors and athletes wore valid ID cards, that they were robustly checked on entry, briefed and trained in emergency evacuations and providing directional support to athletes using local facilities. Any safety or security concern was escalated appropriately and measures were taken to minimise future risk. All security staff were inducted, trained and had daily security briefings to ensure all new intelligence and activity for the day was communicated.

Testimonial

"I would like to take a quick moment to say how impressed I have been with all the security operators that have worked at the camp on behalf of Alliance. All had  the confidence to engage with visitors and athletes to the camp. They organised and instructed visitors to take Lateral Flow Tests as the camp was a Covid free bubble, this at times was met by agitation and questions but the team dealt with all issues with great confidence and composure."
